About Me

Jonah Onah
Software Engineer
I’m Jonah Onah, a Software Engineer and Tech Founder based in Nigeria. I build and scale web, mobile, and cloud applications that drive social and economic change.
I’ve spent the past decade turning ideas into software — from civic technology platforms that power government processes, to crowdfunding tools that help small businesses thrive, to learning management systems that train young Africans in tech.
I’m passionate about technology that solves real problems, especially in education, agriculture, governance, and youth empowerment.
I’m currently leading projects under RutOna Linkages and AfricaPlan Foundation, including platforms like:
- HackathonAfrica – a flagship tech talent accelerator preparing young Africans for global software roles.
- Gitako AgricTech – empowering farmers with digital recordkeeping and access to finance.
- SafeGeeg – a microtask marketplace that connects people and businesses through verified, milestone-based jobs.
- ANA Membership Dashboard – a Django-based membership and payment system for the Akilimo Association of Nigeria.
- Abia State GIS Project – easing the process of generating CofO for the Ministry of Lands and AbiaGIS.
My work combines software engineering, product development, and youth development, driven by a belief that Africa’s transformation will be powered by technology, creativity, and collaboration.
